MicroSourcing Careers Program Presents Batch 2 Graduates"This experience has changed me a lot. I never imagined I would come this far," Silvano Ison Robenta delivered the last speech for the batch.

MicroSourcing's Careers Program sent off its second batch of graduates, 19 interns who finished a four-month training and internship course on BPO skills.

Clients, managers, volunteer trainers, coaches, and mentors cheered as the interns received their certificates and delivered speeches to conclude their MicroSourcing journey.

"In my internship, I learned to always take a stand when I know that I’m just doing my job. I learned to always give my best and love my work. Experience really is the best teacher," said Ison.

In her speech, Angel Tuba recalls the intensive one-month training that preceded the internship. "Throughout the course, I relied on the people who gave me strength. That is why I am here right now. I have thought of quitting a number of times but I chose to stay. I chose to face the challenges and finish victoriously."

Angel also thanked their Teacher Karen Crisostomo, "Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Those were happy moments. Learning could really be fun. Thank you so much."

The audience was moved by Angel's emotional speech. She said, "I believe this graduation is not the end of the journey but the beginning of another chapter. Like Ernest Hemingway once said, 'It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end.'"

The Careers Program is a youth empowerment initiative that links high school graduates to income opportunities in the outsourcing industry. Program participants train for one month and undergo internship with BPO clients for 3-5 months. It is the program's long-term goal to employ disadvantaged yet motivated youth for all entry-level openings in MicroSourcing.
