During the recent CeBIT 2013 business forum, the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) with the support of the Department of Science and Technology-Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) enticed businesses operating from New Zealand and Australia.

Jose Mari Mercado, President and CEO of IBPAP, said the BPO industry of the country is capable of providing what clients need and help drive growth in each of their sectors.

Nearly 400 business representatives from Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea, among others, visited the Philippine booth at CeBIT 2013.

More than half (60 percent) of forum participants came from small to medium-sized companies that are planning to expand operations through partnerships and 20 percent are planning to establish new ones in the country.
