MicroSourcing, in a landmark partnership with the National Book Store Foundation and NBS College, has officially launched Project Banaag, a comprehensive educational initiative designed to equip young Filipino students for the future.
The program, formalized in a ceremony on August 26, 2025, represents a major evolution of the company’s long-standing Balik Eskwela (Back-to-School) tradition. Project Banaag, Filipino for ‘light of dawn’, tackles three (3) critical barriers to learning: foundational literacy, the digital divide and the gap between education and career opportunities.
The initiative is built on three (3) core pillars:
The pilot program will begin in six (6) schools across urban and rural communities, focusing on Grades 1 through 3, where early intervention has the greatest impact.
Haidee Enriquez, CEO of MicroSourcing, framed the initiative as an investment in the nation’s future talent. “Project Banaag is about creating sustainable impact,” she stated. “By focusing on foundational literacy, digital fluency and making future careers visible from an early age, we're building the next generation of Filipino talent.”
The partnership was cemented through the signing of a Memoranda of Agreement (MOA), formally kicking off a multi-year commitment to enhance the learning environment for thousands of students.
For MicroSourcing, Project Banaag is a vital part of building a sustainable talent pipeline. By providing early, consistent support in these key areas, we can help ensure the Philippines continues to produce the world-class professionals it is known for on the global stage.
