Philip Kooijman is the CEO and founder of MicroSourcing and has been operating in the offshore outsourcing industry in the Philippines ever since he started his first offshore delivery center back in 2004. Throughout the years, Philip has successfully launched offshore operations for multiple medium-sized and large enterprises from Australia, UK, and the US ranging in size from five to 1200 employees. As CEO, Philip is responsible for the overall results of our clients’ offshore operations in the Philippines and demonstrates this through his hands-on approach and intense personal involvement both in the startup phase and ongoing operations. Prior to MicroSourcing, Philip has founded numerous companies in the internet and IT consultancy industry after he resigned from Accenture where he worked as an IT & Strategy Consultant. Philip holds a Master of Science degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente in the Netherlands.

Mark Kooijman is Director of Strategy at MicroSourcing and co-founded the company together with Philip back in 2004. Mark has more than 15 years of experience in the investment banking industry, working for ABN Amro Bank and Deutsche Bank before he established his own private equity fund focusing on China in 2005 which has experienced substantial growth. Mark is an entrepreneur at heart and has often joined Philip in his ventures. As head of strategy at MicroSourcing, Mark is responsible for the strategic direction of the company and exploration of new markets and opportunities. Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

Rafael has more than a decade of experience in the global outsourcing and offshoring industry. He was senior consultant at the Everest Group where he led major outsourcing and offshoring initiatives for large multinationals. Prior to that, Rafael held senior positions at Shell International, Philips, and Accenture. As head of business development, Rafael is in charge of all of MicroSourcing’s sales and marketing efforts including the setup process for new clients until they are turned over to operations. Rafael holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in the Netherlands and he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Arlene has more than 25 years of experience in all fields of finance and accounting. Before joining MicroSourcing, she was the Vice President for Finance and Accounting at Seachamp International Export Corporation, one of the largest exporters of marine products from the Philippines. Before that, she worked for RFM, Selecta, and STI. As head of finance, Arlene is responsible for the overall reporting of the financial performance of the company, management of cash inflow and outflow, and formulation of policies and processes to ensure internal control and risk mitigation. Arlene graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce major in Accounting, is a CPA, and about to complete her CMA certification.

Krissy has more than 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition in the BPO industry with expertise on sourcing, targeted selection, executive search, and volume hiring. Before joining MicroSourcing, Krissy worked as Talent Acquisition Director for TeleTech where she held overall accountability of recruitment operations in all sites of the company across the country and Malaysia, bringing the company's population to 22,000 employees in a span of three years. Prior to that, she worked at Globalstride and Convergys where she was in charge of all recruitment, sourcing, and marketing activities. Krissy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University in Manila.

Ramie has more than 11 years of experience in human resources management in the BPO industry. Prior to joining MicroSourcing, he was a senior HR manager at Teletech and he held other senior HR positions at Convergys, San Miguel Corporation, and the Peninsula Manila. As head of human capital, Ramie is in charge of all HR-related processes including onboarding, employee engagement, labor relations, compensation and benefits, discipline and compliance, performance management, and HR administration. Ramie was the president of the Behavioral Science Society at the University of Sto. Tomas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science.

Sameer has more than 10 years of IT experience in the BPO industry, working with a number of Fortune 500 clients in a wide variety of verticals. Before joining MicroSourcing, he had worked for more than four years at Infosys as part of their pioneer team in the Philippines. Sameer brings to MicroSourcing a lot of experience in implementing industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SAS 70, SOX, and ITIL. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and holds a number of certifications in platforms like Redhat, VMware, and Microsoft. As the head of IT, Sameer is in charge of identifying, deploying, and managing the best possible IT solutions for our clients and assuring our compliance with our IT- and information security-related certifications. Sameer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Nagpur (India).

Sophie has more than 10 years of experience in the IT & Strategy consultancy industry. She previously worked for Deloitte Consulting in London as an internet consultant and she worked for five years at Accenture in Amsterdam as a business process analyst. As head of Operational Excellence, Sophie is responsible for improving the operational results our clients achieve with their offshore operations. As such, Sophie spends a lot of her time in process analysis and optimization, quality assurance/control, industry standards and certifications, compliance and best practices. Sophie holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delft in the Netherlands.

Maricel has more than eight years of experience in operations management. She is one of MicroSourcing’s first hires, joining the company as early as 2004. Prior to joining MicroSourcing, she worked at PLDT and Maersk in operational support positions. As head of MicroSourcing Managed Operations, she heads the team of managers and supervisors who are in charge of the day-to-day operations of our clients who opt to be fully managed by MicroSourcing. Maricel is constantly reviewing performance metrics and assuring that our clients’ offshore teams meet and exceed their SLAs. Maricel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and is currently completing her MBA at De La Salle University - Manila.

Nona has more than five years of experience in the fields of public relations, marketing, and creative services. As head of public relations, Nona is responsible for the way the public perceives MicroSourcing, both locally in the Philippines and internationally for our clients and prospective clients. She is in charge of our charity foundation and she spearheads most of our marketing and PR initiatives. Prior to joining MicroSourcing, Nona was a teacher at Brent International School and a lecturer at “I am S.T.R.O.N.G.”, a local charity organization. Nona holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of Asia and the Pacific in the Philippines.

Mia is in charge of two service delivery components: as head of Facilities, she is in charge of our office spaces including maintenance, cleanliness, supplies, and security. This includes our security team which makes sure that all our facilities are guarded 24/7 by our own security personnel. As head of client services, she is in charge of our client services team which takes care of a wide range of concierge and support services for visiting clients and long-term visitors (expats). Mia graduated from San Beda College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Mikky heads MicroSourcing's MicroCreatives, a fantastic team consisting of mixed-discipline designers, developers, animators, and writers that take on a wide variety of creative projects. She has more than eight years of experience in creative design, especially in print design and branding. Prior to joining MicroSourcing, Mikky was in charge of a large number of creative projects at a large number of Philippines-based small and medium-sized businesses. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Management. She also studied graphic design track and digital design and technology at San Francisco State University.
