Fast forward to today and EagleView Technologies is one of the leading providers of accurate geospatial data and geographic information systems mapping.
In 2009, EagleView Technologies needed to quickly expand its operations to meet rapidly increasing client demand. This required the additional hiring of employees with the right 3D spatial insights skills required to operate their software from the get-go. EagleView Technologies soon discovered that sourcing these specialists locally was proving to be too costly and also time-consuming.
They decided to venture into the Philippines offshore talent market and partnered with MicroSourcing due to the appeal of their offshore model. The MicroSourcing model allowed the client to retain full control of their outsourcing venture, providing the ability to change their labor requirements on the fly while MicroSourcing took care of everything on the ground. This included providing fully furnished, state-of-the-art office facilities, IT infrastructure and ongoing support, recruitment expertise and access to HR and operations management teams.
In 2009, a pilot team of 41 offshore employees was established with EagleView Technologies, including 3D spatial specialists and administrative support. MicroSourcing took the initiative to establish metrics, policies, schedules and data-gathering procedures for the client as they didn’t have these established at the start of the partnership.
As operations grew rapidly, MicroSourcing realised the need to grow the team and so established a group of account managers and specialists to elevate operations management.
Today, EagleView Technologies has grown to 1,300+ employees with MicroSourcing across a variety of core business functions with the addition of subject matter experts, a leadership development pipeline and a dedicated operations support team that solely supports their offshore team. These roles have evolved far beyond what support EagleView Technologies originally envisioned offshoring to resolve - a true extension of their onshore operations.
Throughout the 15+ years of partnership, there have been significant economic and global events that could have added pressure to their offshoring venture. However, thanks to MicroSourcing’s dedicated client support services team, EagleView Technologies has been able to manoeuvre around such challenges.
15 years is a long time - what about offshore staff attrition? It currently sits at 3% to 5% demonstrating the loyalty and satisfaction of MicroSourcing teams. EagleView Technologies’s employees also have an average staff engagement rating of 85% to 90%, which is above industry standards.
