A total of 1,110 employees across all Manila-based sites kicked off the new year with a 90's-themed party last January 16 at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
It was a night full of fun and excitement. Before the actual program even began, employees enjoyed taking photo souvenirs at photo booths and submitting their song requests.
CEO Philip Kooijman officially started the event with highlights and updates of 2015. It was then followed by a dance number by guest UP Indayog Society which really set the 90's mood.
One of the much-anticipated competitions of the night was the MS Idol wherein five finalists from different sites belted it out with their 90's songs and won the hearts of everyone. Jimmy Udtuhan (MOA) was named the champion, followed by Joana Mari Sunpongco (Ortigas), John Pabellosa (Picadilly), BJ Lopez (1880), and Edward Bautista (MDC).
The excitement did not end at the MS Idol singing competition, as it was followed shortly by the Jiggy Up! dance competition. Of course, participating groups gathered cheers from the crowd as they brought the 90's back with moves and songs that are distinctly from that decade. MOA was named the champion, followed by Eastwood and EV.
The '90sRewind Party would not be complete without scouting for the Iconic Stars of the Night who were aptly dressed for this event. The awards were given to Jeffrey De Leon (1880), dressed as Axl Rose and Abby De Guzman (MDC) whose outfit inspiration was Britney Spears.
The event became even more fun when guest dancer Dan Manalastas of UP Indayog Society called the Management Committee onstage for an impromptu Tootsie Roll dance. Everyone cheered for the VPs and managers who were more than willing to follow the steps.
The party went on with a live performance from local rock band Razorback, while DJ Nina continued the 90's fever as employees danced the night away.
A lot of raffle prizes were also given away throughout the party as a form of gratitude to all employees as they play a significant role in making MicroSourcing a successful company.
