Last June 14, we championed our MicroSourcing heroes on World Blood Donor Day. We launched 'One Pint Heroes' in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross - National Blood Services to encourage bloodletting amongst employees. The act of giving blood is immeasurable, with one whole blood donation having the power to save three lives.
MicroMissions pledged to donate P500 to the National Blood Services for every employee who gave blood on the scheduled bloodletting. We are grateful for the overwhelming response we received from employees who came forward with a wish to give blood. The National Blood Services has a stringent screening and selection process for prospective blood donors nonetheless; we extend our sincere thanks to the following 25 employees who qualified for the bloodletting:
Fay De Jesus, Earvin Jan Reyes, Jamil Avilla, Angelo Aquino, Hazzle Jandoc, Melody Buendia, Maurice Olivan, Dhunsunny Olazo, Dubai Dol, Helchor Villaruel, Arsenia Cabrera, Julius Cesar Lalic, Brian Jay Lopez, Jonel Lu, John Gotico, Alvin San Juan, Jeffery De la Paz, Henry Ropila, Marielle Ferrer, Kristofer Ivan De Ramon, Juan Carlo Solar, Eduardo Cruz, Ronaldo Sawali, Paul Riparip, Ramil Laude
Your life giving contribution is incomparable to the total amount of P12,500. Even so, we are delighted that the proceeds will go to the Blood Samaritan Program, an important lifeline for the poor. In line with the mandate of the Philippine Red Cross, the organization shall provide blood assistance to all patients, those capable of paying, and the indigent patients. The Blood Samaritan Program aims to assist indigent patients needing a blood transfusion by covering the blood processing fees of legitimate poor patients.
National Blood Service Representative Jee Jean Tolentino gladly received the check in the presence of MicroSourcing Volunteers Ida Mandinyenya, Jan Cyrill Dimaranan, and Charity Fernandez. Thank you for your support and we look forward to more One Pint Heroes next year!
