MicroSourcing Donates P84K to Disaster Rehabilitation Programs

MicroSourcing employees responded to the needs of communities affected by Typhoon Hagupit (Ruby) that made landfall in Samar last December 2014. A total of 579 employee donors contributed P84,400 to organization partners World Vision, Build Change, and Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya (SIBAT).

Donations will support disaster response and rehabilitation programs across the Visayas region. Through this contribution:

  • World Vision distributed food kits, shelter kits, hygiene kits, and water purification kits to 7,457 families in six municipalities of Samar,
  • Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya (SIBAT) distributed seeds of leafy root crops and cereals (rice, corn, etc.) among organizations of empowered farmers, and organized training on sustainable farming technologies, and
  • Build Change supported training of local builders in safe construction practices for disaster-resilient infrastructure.

MicroSourcing is grateful for the generosity of its employees in further supporting the mission of its partners for empowered communities that rise above disasters.
