PH Call Center Industry Expected to Grow

With the strong position the Philippines has in the global call center outsourcing industry, the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) estimates that the voice sector has grown almost a fifth from the previous year.

According to CCAP President Benedict C. Hernandez, based on the reports submitted by the organizationís members, they are seeing an 18-19 percent growth for 2013. He added that the sectorís key markets are the United Kingdom and Australia, which are now being considered as "fast-growth markets". Meanwhile, the market share of the US has declined from 90 to 80 percent.  

Furthermore, the executive pointed out that the growth of the local voice outsourcing sector depends on the activities among existing service providers in the Philippines, as well as the entry of new competitors.

The actual growth figures for 2013 are set to be released in February or March.
