During the recent United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNC-TAD) where the list of Top 20 investment destinations was announced, the Philippines bagged the 19th spot based on the endorsements from more than 200 promotion agencies worldwide. This is the first time for the country in at least three years.
Other countries that also took the 19th spot are Hong Kong and Turkey.
Meanwhile, the Philippines’ Southeast Asian counterparts ranked higher. Malaysia took the 16th spot, Vietnam at 11th, Thailand ranked 8th, and Indonesia at 4th place.
The top three countries for investments are China, US, and India.
