MicroSourcing CEO Philip Kooijman won in the PLDT ALPHA Royale 2013 Charity Poker Tournament which was held last July 12 at Genting Club, Resorts World Manila.
More than 100 top executives from various outsourcing and offshoring companies and other industries joined the fun at the poker tables.
After 11 rounds, the top 7 battled it out in the championship table. Mr. Kooijman was named the grand champion, bagging Php200,000 for his chosen charity, the Dynamic Teen Company, plus an Omega James Bond watch.
Dynamic Teen Company (DTC) is an organization that seeks to help Filipino youth become more productive and responsible citizens. Their programs are geared towards providing assistance not only to the kids’ education but also to career employment.
Mr. Kooijman chose DTC as part of the Careers Program of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of MicroSourcing which aims to provide higher-income employment and job opportunities to the youth.
