Major US Firm to Set Up Shop in PH

Emerson, a renowned industrial and consumer products manufacturer in the US, is set to invest P2 billion in Manila to expand their business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.

According to George Mulligan, Emersonís Shared Services General Manager in Manila, they are investing nearly P2 billion for facilities and long-term leases for the expansion of their BPO operations. He added that Emerson is planning to make more investments in Manila and continue operating in the country for many years.

He noted that on top of the initial investment, there will be outlays for human resource development, training, and long-term lease contract between Emerson and Cybergate Plaza in Mandaluyong City until 2024.

The company currently has 12,000 employees in the Philippines, with 3,225 candidates in the shared services sector.
