Two of Pampanga’s cities are striving to become ideal IT destinations for investors.
San Fernando was cited by the city’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Council to be equipped with resources and a skilled IT workforce suited for the business process outsourcing in the country. The council, created by Mayor Oscar Rodriguez in 2007, added that they are helping the city to become a technological hub. It is also closely working with stakeholders and scholastic institutions.
According to ICT Council President Jim Jimenez, programs are created to train students, IT graduates, and other aspiring IT professionals to help reinforce the city as a credible regional IT leader.
Investors in the ICT sector are also highly considering Clark in becoming a BPO hub, according to the Metro Clark Information and Communications Technology Council (MCICTC).
Moreover, the organization said Clark is one of the locations in which Manila-based BPO firms choose to expand or transfer to as it is similar to Metro Manila and Metro Cebu.
