What IT Buyers are Looking for

Information technology (IT) clients are anticipated to focus more on capability, accessibility, and stability, according to an Ovum report titled "2013 Trends to Watch: Bundled Outsourcing". The report highlighted influencers in the IT market for 2013. These include IT services bundling.

Ovum Principal Analyst of IT Services Jens Butler said since the business environment is very unstable nowadays, decision-making has become more challenging. Even the prominent markets and regions experiencing rapid growth are left unsure of what is to come for 2013. Large companies are also expected to go for value for their money by looking at capability, accessibility, and stability of vendors. The report also showed that clients are looking for long-lasting solutions that cover every aspect of the business.

Meanwhile, increase in demand is expected in other newer segments such as analytics, social media, cloud, and mobile technology. This could mean more opportunities for service providers.

However, Butler said enterprises should closely monitor bundled services and vendors should enhance their portfolio to have an advantage, should there be an upswing later this year.
