The firm’s report, which is set to be presented at the DataCentres Europe 2012 event, denotes that outsourcing only accounts for 15 percent of the entire European data center market.
The report also estimates that the market for third party data center providers will grow by 14 percent between 2010 and 2014, and a 25 percent increase in data center outsourcing transactions amongst European companies and third party service providers will be seen by 2014.
BroadGroup Consulting Managing Director Steve Wallage said outsourcing will be a game changer for data center providers in Europe. He adds that BroudGroup was able to identify 400 small and specialist third party facilities in the UK alone. Meanwhile, larger providers are seen to grow and expand. He also said adoption of the cloud, digital media, online shopping, social networking, and mobile technology are the key drivers for the growth of data center outsourcing.
