On Valentine’s day, MicroSourcing employees and clients opened their hearts to those who are in need through A Heart for Hearts, a fundraising program that will benefit the Children’s Hour’s “One Hour, New Hearts”. This is an open heart surgery program for kids with cardiovascular disorders.
The Operations Group, Creative Services Group, and departments set up booths and facilitated fun activities to encourage employees to spread the love and help the underprivileged.
CSG set up a Serenade Booth - an acoustic group sang love songs requested by employees for their special someone and/or friends at the office.
There were also a lot of excitement at the Marriage Booth by the Human Capital Strategy and Delivery Group (HCSDG). Of course, Valentine’s day would not be a day of hearts without roses for sale (free delivery by members of the Manpower Acquisition department) and an assortment of sweets (by Operations).
After a series of fun games, the much-awaited auction was held. Employees tried to outbid each other to win a date. From this activity alone, MicroSourcing was able to raise a total of Php11,950 for the kids.
Children’s Hour is a non-profit organization that encourages companies to donate at least one hour’s worth of their salaries to help underprivileged Filipino children get access to better nutrition and education.
