Knowing that social media platforms have become excellent online marketing tools for a lot of businesses of any type and size, MicroSourcing recently formed a Public Relations (PR) department that will implement strategies on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other similar sites. This is primarily to increase brand awareness and attract more visitors to the company website.
Headed by Nona Tajanlangit-Kooijman, the department is responsible for making the company’s presence known in the world of social media. Specifically, they are in charge of managing MicroSourcing’s social media profiles across various platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, developing and executing acquisition and retention strategies, generating and monitoring content, responding to comments, questions, and suggestions of friends, followers, and contacts, monitoring the strategies of competitors, and staying up-to-date on the latest social media trends and techniques. The department is also in charge of creating and publishing press releases to further promote what the company can offer.
