CEO Philip Kooijman and HR Manager Julius Burton of MicroSourcing, as well as Mr. Bobby Bausanta, Sr. AVP for Alumni Affairs and Mr. Arnel Hibo, FVP - AMA Computer University signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last December 17. This is part of the company’s initiative to tap alumni who might qualify for the needs of clients and to increase brand awareness.
Through this MOA, MicroSourcing will gain access to AMA University’s alumni database from year 2000 onwards, and OJTs can be added to its workforce. In return, the educational institution requires the company to accept a certain number of OJTs, hire at least one AMA graduate per year, and conduct seminars for their students. "We strongly believe that our partnership with AMA University will be mutually beneficial by providing AMA students and alumni interesting internship and job opportunities at MicroSourcing and at the same time, it will help us in our pursuit of finding the best talent available in the Philippines. We look forward to working with them for years to come," Mr. Kooijman said.
Mr. Ron Quijano, Sourcing & Marketing Specialist, is the one who handles campus partnerships for MicroSourcing and has been working very hard to form partnerships with various educational institutions. Part of this initiative was the demographic survey he conducted among the employees of MicroSourcing. "The purpose of that checklist is to find out the school demographics of the employees. We will identify which schools are worth establishing partnerships with based on the data we've gathered," Mr. Quijano said.
