Study Shows Demand in IT Outsourcing Increases

by: Karen Cayamanda

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 | Outsourcing News |

Majority of service providers said there is an increasing demand for IT outsourcing. This is based on the recent study of EquaTerra entitled “Advisor and Business/IT Service Provider Pulse Survey”. Also, 68 percent predicted that they will see this market trend up to the end of this year.

"The bulk of outsourcing demand is still defensive, aimed at short-term cost-cutting and cost-containment strategies," said Stan Lepeak, managing director of global research.

The survey also found out that with the current global economic crisis, outsourcing has become a cost-cutting measure for more buyers.
