The Philippines sees a rising demand for knowledge process outsourcing services. Sixty percent of KPO firms said that their employee base will increase between 11 and 200 percent this year, and 94 percent of respondents see continuous growth. This is based on the survey conducted last August 6-24 by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP).
Of the 131 industry executives who participated in the survey, 43 percent said that it is “less risky” to outsource operations to the Philippines than to India, while 13 percent said that it is “much less risky”.
Respondents were executives from companies that offer services such as back-office KPO, animation, advertising, as well as financial and legal KPO.
