As more and more clients look beyond India to outsource non-core business operations, the Philippines is poised to emerge as an ideal destination for non-voice BPO work. This is according to a research done by the Everest Research Institute.
With the success of the voice sector or the call center industry in the Philippines, the country has long been established as an offshoring location for voice-based services. While there is significant growth in the non-voice sector for the past three years, clients are not yet aware that the country can provide other BPO services aside from voice-based work. Based on the research, medical transcription and finance and accounting outsourcing are the two non-voice BPO services currently being offered by service providers in the country.
While the Philippines will not likely replace India as the top offshoring destination, significant growth in the Philippine non-voice sector is expected, as the government focuses on developing the non-voice BPO industry and providers expand their service offerings.
