Client Case Study: Imatech

Client Description

Imatech BV is a ship supplier of electrical technical material in its widest range to ship owners, ship management companies, and offshore companies. Its core business is to provide all facets of marine electrical equipment as it is used on vessels these days.

The family business was founded in August 1973 by Mr. and Mrs. Haverkamp. The name Imatech is an abbreviation of "International Marine Technics". The eldest son, Mr. Erling Haverkamp, performing as Managing Director, took over the company in 2001. The office is located near one of the world's largest ports, Rotterdam.

Services We Provide to Imatech

Imatech signed a contract with MicroSourcing on January 6, 2012, and started hiring data processors to undergo the training. On February 25, the trainees flew to The Netherlands for two weeks of training. They underwent extensive training on how to properly encode Request for Quotations (RFQs) in Microsoft Navision which they receive through email and portal. It was March 12 when regular operations started in our MOA office.

MicroSourcing assigned an operations supervisor who will serve as the point of contact for Imatech. The POC is the one who coordinates with the other departments of MicroSourcing. Among the tasks would be to take the lead in the preparation of requirements in cases of hiring ramps due to expansion and even backfills - this covers recruitment needs, technological requirements, and production performance reporting. The POC does follow-ups when it comes to operational concerns and issues, while results are presented to the clients through email or meeting updates.
