In the two previous steps, we identified your outsourcing needs and broke them down into your manpower requirements and other project variables. The next step will be to find suitable candidates, screen them and assist you in chosing the members of your offshore team. This is the most important step in the entire outsourcing process. Afterall the quality of the people you select for your offshore team will determine the quality of their deliverables and the overall added value of having an offshore operation. We furthermore understand that it is the quality of the people that will determine whether you will stay with MicroSourcing or not. This is why our HR team is very active in implementing our own screening procedures to make sure that we fill each job profile with the most suitable candidate.
Applicant Selection Tool: MicroResumes
To assist in this recruitment and selection process, we have developed our own web-based Applicant Selection Tool (AST) called MicroResumes. This online tool provides us with a central location where we can store all our candidates' information including detailed resumes, pre-screening results and any progress that is made in the selection process. As a MicroSourcing client you will have your own account that you can use to search our database for candidates. You will be able to shortlist candidates for certain job profiles and you will be able to make notes about your overall impression on each candidate and the results of interviews or tests/sample assignments that you might have given them. MicroResumes also stores the salary expectations of each candidate and provides full details about the monthly fee you will have to pay if you want to hire that candidate. This cost break down includes an overview of the salary the candidate will get, the benefits, taxes, etc. It is a very transparent system that will fast-track the entire recruitment process. Our HR Team also screens candidates and the results of these pre-screening interviews are also stored in MicroResumes.

The Recruitment & Selection Processs
The recruitment and selection of candidates follows these three logical steps:
- Formulation of Job Profiles
Together, we will formulate the exact roles you need for your offshore team including the required skills, past working experience and any other profile requirements. These job profiles are stored in MicroResumes and also contain information about expected working hours and a maximum budget you may have in mind for the position.
- Recruitment
It is the responsibility of our HR team to find suitable candidates for your job profiles. There are three pools they can look in: available existing MicroSourcing staff, candidates already registered in our MicroResumes database and of course the overall Filipino job market. Our HR team will use all its resources to find suitable candidates. As necessary, we will post job ads and use other external recruitment resources to come up with a list of excellent candidates for each of your job profiles.
- Screening
Our HR team conducts a standard pre-screening interview with our candidates to make sure they are a good fit for the job profile. During this interview, candidates are also asked about their salary expectations and their interest and availability for the job is confirmed. The rest of the selection procedure is highly flexible and it is completely up to you how this phase is executed. You could interview the candidates yourself through telephone, skype, webcam sessions or even during a visit to our offices. We could also include skill tests, requests for sample works or put in any other selection procedure that you deem necessary.
- Selection
Our HR team will advise you on the candidates they think are the best match for your job profile. The final decision on which candidate is selected for the job profile is made by you.
Once you have selected the people for your offshore team, we can finalize our agreement and get ready to go live with your offshore operation. This is described in Step 4: Signing the Agreement
