The first step that leads to a fully operational outsourcing solution is a review of your outsourcing requirements. How far we go in analyzing these requirements and how involved we are in this analysis is completely up to you. Here are some initial questions:
- What are the strategic goals behind your decision to outsource some of your processes? Is it mostly about cost- cutting or are there more factors that play a role: the need to focus on your core business, the need for a certain expertise?
- What processes do you want to outsource? What tasks are involved in these processes? How should these processes be coordinated with your own domestic operations?
- What other processes in your business could potentially be outsourced? Is there a way to group processes in a way that a logical separation between your domestic and offshore operations is made?
- How will your offshore operation be managed? Who will be responsible for deliverables and coordinating day-to-day tasks?
These questions are most probably already answered internally within your own company by the time that you contact us. Still, it may be beneficial to discuss these questions openly with us. After all, we will probably be able to serve you better if we truly understand your business and outsourcing needs. In the end, the most important questions will revolve around:
- How do your outsourcing needs translate to human resources? How many people do you need? Do you need them on a fulltime basis? Do you need them for a limited period of time or on a continuous basis? What skills do they need to have?
The answers to these questions will determine the outsourcing model that best fits your outsourcing requirements. And this choice is made in Step 2: Selecting an Outsourcing Model
