Growth Potential Seen in PH Animation Outsourcing

With the increase in global demand for non-voice outsourcing processes such as animation, publishing, and engineering design, strong growth is anticipated for the Philippine IT-BPO sector.
During a business forum, David Caldwell, Managing Director at Wells Fargo Philippines Solutions Inc., said there’s a great chance for the non-voice business process outsourcing (BPO) processes to flourish.
He cited the animation segment wherein he believes that the Philippines is a suitable outsourcing partner because Filipinos are innately talented and creative. Furthermore, Caldwell said large international animation firms regard the ability of English communication skills of Filipino animators as a huge factor, apart from lower labor costs, quality, as well as speed in delivering output.
Moreover, he said the engineering sector could also get ample boost with the annual turnout of graduates.
