ManAcq Dept. Takes Part in 2nd Job Fest and Career Fair 2011

The Manpower Acquisition Department of MicroSourcing participated in the recently concluded 2nd Job Fest and Career Fair 2011. This event was held last May 9-10 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
Numerous companies from the business process outsourcing sector and other industries took part in the event, offering various types of jobs including marketing, accounting, customer service, clerical work, retail, administrative, etc. Moreover, different career talks and activities were done during the event. Recruitment Specialist Dan Katipunan provided some job hunting tips to help applicants in looking for work that is suitable for their knowledge and skill set.
Joining different job fairs is one of the major initiatives of the department to attract fresh graduates and unemployed individuals to join the MicroSourcing workforce and increase company awareness. According to Mr. Katipunan, the department is planning to participate in other job fairs to find new talent needed by clients of the company.
MicroSourcing Lets the Good Times Roll at Mardi Gras Company Outing

Donning bright-colored bead necklaces, MicroSourcing employees and members of the management team got together for the Mardi Gras-themed company outing at Momarco Resort in Tanay, Rizal last May 7.
The highlight of the event was obviously the Amazing Race to the Next Level where four teams needed to finish eight tasks designed to test teamwork and cooperation. The IT team (with Ms. Krissy Cabiling and Marshal Dan Katipunan) was the first to finish the race. They won Php8000 and gained the all-important bragging rights.
Aside from the race, two other contests made the event even more fun and exciting. In the eating contest, four employees were given a whole roasted chicken each and the fastest to eat all of it would be declared the winner. Web Developer Gerald Villacarlos from WGP rose to the occasion and got the award worth Php1000.
Meanwhile, PHP Programmer Dan Calpatura from the Creative Services Group (CSG) proved that he could hold his liquor. In the drinking contest, he was the fastest to finish gulping a liter of beer and four shots of vodka without throwing up. He also received Php1000.
EV Malupetiks Claims Championship Title at Basketball Tournament

EV Malupetiks ended the finals game against EV Street View at 78-68, and finally claimed the championship title at MicroSourcing’s Sports fest 2011 - Basketball Tournament which concluded last April 27. Malupetiks received Php10000 while Street View got Php5000.
A total of eight teams (EV Warframes, WGP Lynx, WGP Ninja, MMP Trojans, EV Good Vibes, Management Microbyo, EV Street View, and EV Malupetiks) took part in the tournament which officially started last March 19.
