The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) brought together more than 550 outsourcing executives from different organizations around the world in the recently concluded 2010 Outsourcing World Summit held in Florida.
“This year’s Summit was particularly timely and relevant to organizations as the economy shows signs of rebounding,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “Companies learned how outsourcing can help create change, enable growth and add value to their organizations.”
Joshua R.Jewett, senior vice president of Information Technology and procurement, and chief information officer, Family Dollar Stores, Inc.; Dmitry A. Loschinin, president and chief executive officer, Luxoft; and the late Dewang Mehta, past president, NASSCOM® were inducted into IAOP's Outsourcing Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson’s Julia Santos and commercial real estate executive Rich Etzkorn were recognized as “Members of the Year” at the Summit Awards Luncheon held last Feb. 16.
IAOP's official publication “Globalization Today” was also launched during the event. This aims to tap insights of individuals from around the world and create “the best and largest informational resource on outsourcing”.
