To create awareness among MicroSourcing employees about pain management and inform them of the pros and cons of taking medicine for pain relief, the Human Capital Strategy and Delivery Group or HCSDG (formerly known as Human Resources Department) conducted the Pain Management Awareness Program last March 29. This was the first in a series of health awareness programs by the group.
Joan Esguerra and Julie Ann Maniquis, nurses of the company, found out that last year, painkillers were the medicines most utilized by employees. Since pain is a big factor that can affect the productivity of an employee, awareness on how to manage pain is important.
About 50 employees from Small Projects, CSG, and the management took part in the program. It will be conducted again at a different time slot for other employees. Painkillers were distributed to participants after the program.
