As part of the company’s initiative to increase brand awareness and reach a large pool of graduates who might be suitable candidates for clients’ requirements, MicroSourcing had formed a corporate tie-up this month with Systems Technology Institute (STI). This is the second time that the company partnered with a member of the academe - the first one was with AMA University last December.
With this partnership, Manpower Acquisition Department’s Sourcing & Marketing Specialist Ron Quijano said STI will act as a sourcing channel for MicroSourcing in getting a pool of good candidates. “For our end, the usual benefits apply: access to their career portal, regular campus/career fair updates, and on-the-job trainees (OJTs). On the other hand, STI will have the chance to provide employment/OJT opportunities for their alumni/students.”
In a demographics survey Mr. Quijano conducted among MicroSourcing employees late last year, results show that STI ranked fourth in the list of schools where MicroSourcing employees graduated from. AMA University got the top spot, followed closely by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). These survey results helped the company in identifying which schools can provide graduates who might have the skills needed by clients.
