English Only Policy Officially Launched

The Organizational Development / Employee Relations (OD/ER) Department officially launched the English Only Policy (EOP) last January 21. The policy is part of the company's efforts to strengthen the employees’ communication skills. Attendees of the launch were members of the operations team, project managers, team leaders, and supervisors across projects.
The English training program for Yell employees have already been started this month. English Only signs were also posted in the workplace to encourage employees to follow the EOP. According to Regina Lomotan, OD/ER Manager, rewards will be given to teams and team leaders who consistently speak English. Employees are also encouraged to give their creative ideas or suggestions that will help in implementing this policy.
The OD/ER Department will keep track of the progress of the policy. “It will succeed only if we are all active in participating and communicating well in English. I hope we can have a successful implementation of the policy and we truly appreciate your full support and cooperation,” said Ms. Lomotan.
