According to Catanduanes Rep. Joseph Santiago House Information and Communications technology, the 29 largest business process outsourcing (BPO) service providers in the Philippines reported combined revenues of P94.4 billion in 2008. The number is a 21% increase from the P78.3 billion reported the previous year.
The 29 major providers on the list were mostly contact center driven; with Customer Care Management Philippines Inc. (P8.1 billion), Convergys Philippines Services Corp. (P8 billion), and eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. (P7.9 billion) posting the highest revenues. The 29 companies are among 400 other outsourcing providers in the Philippine outsourcing industry with annual revenues between a few million pesos to 1 billion, Santiago noted.
“The Philippines has definitely secured its position as a leading player in the global BPO market, judging from the sustained double-digit revenue growth of the local branches of mostly multinational BPO providers,” he said.
