MicroSourcing successfully hosted the initial leg of its first official in-house Counter-Strike tournament. The opening of the tournament coincided with a monthly party with free food and drinks at MicroSourcing's newly opened employee lounge, MS Cafe; courtesy of CEO Philip Kooijman.
The tournament bracket currently features 8 teams, each with 5 members, and is played on a list of random maps that includes Assault and Dust 2.
The teams are divided according to what department or project team members belong in. Philip Kooijman, who himself is a participant in the tournament, assembled his own team that, quite controversially, includes premiere players from multiple projects/departments. Although Kooijman's team (strangely entitled Harry and Friends) are strong favorites to win, the first day of a 3 leg tournament produced awe-inspiring performances by leg winners SG Borges and Monkey Eating Eagles to the Max with results at an astonishing 24 - 6 and 24 - 3.
The final is set to be played on Friday, October 2nd.
