Around 500 senior BPO executives from major service providers worldwide will head to Manila, Philippines on October 20-21 for the first international conference of the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP).
According to Jonathan de Luzuriaga, BPAP executive director for industry affairs, the said conference aims to tackle strategies that will keep the BPO industry going despite the global economic crisis.
Aside from voice-based work, there is also an increasing demand for non-voice services such as knowledge processing and back office functions. This evolution in the industry will also be discussed in the conference.
Executives from different major BPO companies and research groups will be the speakers in the upcoming event.
