MicroResumes - Online Candidate Selection Tool

As explained in our Outsourcing Step-by-Step overview, one of the most important steps is Step 3: Recruitment & Selection . This is where we formulate the job profiles for the people who will form your offshore team and we recruit and select the people who will fill these positions.

We soon found out that candidate recruitment and selection was a difficult process to manage. We would have thousands of candidate resumes in different formats on one side and on the other side, we would have different clients with different requirements and different screening procedures. We would have a wealth of feedback on the candidates coming from both the client and our HR team. We knew we needed a tool that could help us manage the recruitment and selection process.

MicroResumes

We designed and developed our own online Applicant Selection Tool (AST) called MicroResumes which runs on www.MicroResumes.com . This web tool enables us to take care of all aspects of recruitment and selection:

Candidates:

• Can register their resumes online including very detailed skill ratings
• Can upload sample work and link that to their online resume
• Can add a profile picture to their resume
• Can login anytime to update their resume, salary expectations or availability status

Clients:

• Can post Job Profiles including job description, required skills, working hours and a maximum budget
• Can look for candidates using very detailed search criteria
• Can view candidate resumes online
• Can shortlist suitable candidates for a certain job profile
• Can add ratings and comments to shortlisted candidates

MicroSourcing:

• Can find and shortlist candidates for client job profiles
• Can rate candidates and write reviews based on our own pre-screening procedures
• Can manage candidate's resumes, availability status and salary expectations
