Windows Server Administrator

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and upgrades of server operating systems
• Gives day to day support to user queries and customer advice
• Carries out occasional work scheduled outside of regular working hours

Requirements

• Strong experience in Windows Server operating systems, particularly Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers (O/S installation, configuration, support, problem determination, patching, automation)
• Vas t experience in monitoring of servers and network using tools such as Microsoft SCOM, GFI (easy monitoring and alerting software), Cacti (graphing software), and Prism (event log software)
• able to troubleshoot server and network events and resolving issues found during monitoring of servers
• Able to patch monitor and fix servers
• Knowledge of change management process
