I am sure you have heard similar catch phrases in the past from other companies that operate in the BPO industry. In many ways, MicroSourcing is different though and I will explain to you why we consider ourselves to be one of the best employers in the industry.

MicroSourcing is essentially a family business. It was founded by myself, my brother, and our wives and until this day, we fully own and control the company. My father is Dutch and my mother is Filipina so my brother and I enjoyed a mixed Dutch/Filipino upbringing. We were educated and started our careers in Europe but we visited the Philippines almost yearly and kept close ties with our Filipino relatives. So unlike most large BPO companies, we are not part of a large foreign-based multinational and we do not have anonymous shareholders squeezing us for every penny of additional profit. I try to run MicroSourcing in the most family-oriented way I can and I think we have been very successful in creating a sense of belonging for our employees.

MicroSourcing is a mid-sized company. At time of writing, we had about 450 full-time employees and in many ways, I think this is an ideal size for a company like ours. It is large enough to attract fascinating clients and projects from all over the world and at the same time it is small enough that we can operate from a single location in Eastwood City and create an intimate environment where everyone knows everyone. We have a very lean organization structure where there are never more than two management layers between our regular employees and the CEO and you will quickly get to know me and the members of my management team. All of this creates an environment where we can keep things fairly casual and make you feel right at home.

Our warm and friendly working environment does not mean that we are not result-driven. In fact, we focus strongly on professionalism and added value. Whether you are a fresh graduate or a seasoned veteran, we expect you to have a professional attitude and willingness to further develop yourself and take on new challenges. We expect you to work hard and deliver results that consistently exceed the expectations of our client. We expect you to be pro-active and really think about the work you do, your role in your project, and we expect you to take initiative in cases where you feel things could be done in a smarter or better way. You should not see your work at MicroSourcing as just a job, it is an engagement where you and the rest of MicroSourcing work together to deliver added value for our clients. In return, we focus a lot of our resources on organizational development and we offer a range of training programs ranging from project management and leadership skills to English language and technical skills. Many of these programs are completely voluntary and you are free to sign up for the classes you feel would benefit you most for your career. We will also make sure that you are well-compensated for your efforts and share in the success of MicroSourcing. Of course, we are a business and businesses need to make money but at MicroSourcing, we try to make sure that our clients and employees benefit equally from the opportunities in the outsourcing industry.

I think the Philippines is a wonderful country and Filipinos are the warmest and friendliest people on the planet. We do our best to make sure that we recruit people who are good in every sense of the word.
